Cumilla’s female physician dies of Covid-19

Irin Akter Parveen, a female consultant in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Eastern Medical College Hospital in Cumilla, dies from coronavirus infections at hospital in the capital early Sunday.

Irin, 44, wife of Dr Azizur Rahman Siddique, hailing from Ratnabali village in Cumilla sadar, breathed her last at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSSMU) while undergoing treatment.

Dr Irin was admitted to the hospital after she was tested positive for the virus on November 24.

Dr Md Mujibar Rahman, former director of Cumilla Medical College Hospital, confirmed this information to media.
